In business it’s important to be contactable at all times. Of course there are times when you need to switch off your mobile phone for your own sanity and peace of mind – but depending on your role in the company, it may be necessary for you to be contactable as often as possible. Technology can enable this to be the case. If you put your phone on silent at night but you still want clients to be able to talk to you, make sure you program your phone so it’ll ring if specific numbers are trying to get through to you. Technology can also make you able to work more flexibly. For instance if you have children and you want to be able to pick them up from school and spend the evening with them then that’s possible if you want to catch up on your work after they’ve gone to bed. Being able to work remotely can improve your quality of life by enabling you to spend far more time with your family and structuring your time the way that you want to.
Use Tech For CRM
If you work in sales then you probably already know that CRM stands for ‘customer relationship management’. If you have a number of clients then it’s a good idea for you to use a shared CRM so that you and the rest of your team can share information about all your customers so you can meet their needs more effectively. A CRM might detail the customer’s name and contact information along with previous orders and specific people at a company that you might want to talk to. Using mobile CRM software means that it’s much more easy for you to manage your relationships with all your clients as you can see their needs right there in front of you. It would also enable you to share this information with your co-workers and colleagues without having to contact them all individually. A good CRM can help you provide great customer service.
Use Tech In Presentations
If you use presentations to sell your product to clients, there’s nothing better than technology to help them go smoothly. Of course it’s the content of your presentation that should impress the most, and the quality of your product along with your product knowledge, but it’s absolutely crucial to make sure first of all that you know the ins and outs of the product you’re selling, particularly if it’s technology based. Clients are bound to ask questions about it and you need to be able to answer them clearly and concisely to demonstrate that your product is user friendly. You should also make sure that during your presentation you use technology correctly – don’t try to go overboard or baffle people with it because you’ll seem less trustworthy. But you can use it to present your product on an overhead projector, to demonstrate your product on a laptop, and to send around any materials you might need beforehand. Make sure that technology works for you, rather than the other way around.
