What tech trends can you expect to see soar in 2014? We searched the web and came up with this list!
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced late last year his company plans to start offering 30-minute deliveries via drone-like devices through a service called Amazon Prime Air.
Worried about drones invading your privacy? The FAA has until September 2015 to implement a plan for safely opening the national air space to private, unmanned aircraft.
But in the meantime, according to reports several drone businesses are already thriving doing everything from shooting movies to giving virtual tours of luxurious homes.
2.) Big TV's That Do Cool Things
Talk about taking watching TV to a whole new level. Samsung drives home the point of this 2014 trend early on in the year by announcing the 85 inch U9B Bendable UHD TV. With just a touch of a button it transforms from a flat panel to a curved TV design. Enough said.
3.) The Online Travel Industry Gets Mobile
This year more people than ever before will book travel from their mobile devices, and we’re not just talking same day trips.
That’s according to a Business Insider report (citing data from JP Morgan analyst Douglas Anmuth and his team.)
The report also found a brewing battle between travel deal giants like Expedia and Travelocity, which will mean more ads, and better deals for the consumer.
4) More screens=more fun
Favorite show comes on? Pick up your phone!
Forget most watched…that’s so last year. In 2014, the big thing is the most tweeted about tv show.
“As more mobile devices hit the market in 2014, so will more opportunities for a second-screen experience,” CBS news reported.
5) #HASHTAG #everything!
I *heart* hashtags, and I hope you do to because from award shows, to sitcoms to commercials, in 2014 you’ll see more hashtags than ever before.
Brands hope this will move consumers to continue the conversation online, and social TV platform apps like TVInteract and Zeebox allow TV reporters and hosts as well as viewers track content and conversations online.
