Within three years it will be common for our bodies to transmit information via low cost wearable sensors (body tattoos) and radio frequency technologies. This same technology will help monitor our health and the health of our loved ones as well as track chronic disease, explains the team at The University of Southern California’s Body Computing program.
"Body Computing" refers to an implanted wireless device which can transmit up-to-the second physiological data to physicians, patients, and patients’ loved ones, and for more than a decade the USC's Body Computing Conference has been a pioneering wireless health event.
From ridesharing and digital health to cars and combat training — the 12th Annual USC Body Computing Conference will have a little bit of everything for tech lovers like us here at Sasha Talks Tech!

The CBC is a digital health, research and innovation center that is re-imagining everyday health and wellness services for the mainstream patient population, modern caregiver/provider, and healthcare system underwriters because we want to make health services accessible and affordable to a broader population.
Each year, the CBC also hosts a SLAM competition inviting multidisciplinary teams to solve a new problem using digital health tools.
This year, the competition will focus on how technology can address a current health care problem and creating solutions that are patient-centric.
Competition entries are currently open, and letters of intent must be submitted online by Aug. 31.
Winners of the SLAM competition will be announced and recognized at the Body Computing Conference and awarded a $10,000 prize.
