For the past couple of years, phone consumers have always looked for a concrete answer. That answer relates to the question about which one is better, Android or Apple?
Usually, it is impossible to agree on everything because Android and Apple both have pros and cons that some people like and other hates. For example, the freedom of a Samsung device is a feature that the majority of users find attractive.
Still, it’s time to put the conversation to bed once and for all because it has gone on too long. Quite simply, an iPhone is without a doubt the king of mobile technology in this decade. How can we be so sure, you ask? Well, it’s thanks to the reasons below.
Without further ado, here is why Apple is winning the race and iPhones are the best handsets on the market.
Rivals Copied Technology
That was until 2009 with the release of the Galaxy model that would come to be their flagship phone. After that, the S and J series took off and turned the Korean manufacturer into a major player in the game. However, to do this, they had to copy Apple’s processes and steal their technology. Quite simply, they took a product that wasn’t theirs and made it work for Android. Even if they do have an amazing product now, it will always be off the back of the iPhone. Without that, they would never have thought of something so amazing.
Most Android phones look okay, but that is the only adjective you would use. To be honest, they are bulky and feel as if they have been made in a factory. Of course, they as all phones are manufactured in this way. But, Apple has a way of making you question this fact. For starters, the quality of the design is almost faultless as the phone is sleek and powerful at the same time. Plus, the finishes they use to gloss the exterior are elegant and stylish. Even the new models, which are huge, have a certain grace about them that is hard to replicate. Apart from a couple of competitors, such as the HTC One, most phones can’t compete in the design stakes. At least, that is what www.t3.com thinks with two iPhones ranking in the top ten for design. That is the kind of design consistency they have had for years.
Okay, let’s face it, phones are more than devices to call or message friends. Sure, they are both big factors in owning one, but they aren’t the most important anymore. An essential feature nowadays is the app store. Simply put, people need the best apps on their phone to enhance their everyday lives. This may seem like an exaggeration, yet it is one-hundred percent true. Just think about how you shop and how apps enhance the experience. Would it be the same if you had to use a laptop or a desktop? The great thing about an iPhone is that it has access to Apple apps, and they are the highest quality. Anyone with an Android or any other phone can’t get these applications are they only available for iPhone and iPad users. In the end, a version will come out for the Google Play Store, yet it could take weeks or months. And, it tends to be the same when you flip the script because most Android apps are available on Apple phones.
The Shawshank Redemption
What does Andy Dufresne have to do with the battle between Apple and Android? In essence, not much apart from a very clever play on words. You see, when an iPhone doesn’t have access to Google updates, it is possible to jailbreak the handset. All you have to do is head to the unlockedspot.com jailbroken phones section and follow the guidelines. It doesn’t stop there either because hundreds if not thousands of other sites can help. In basic terms, there isn’t a shortage of people to turn to when you want to unlock a phone. Now, there are negatives to a jailbreak, the main one being it voids your warranty. So, it’s important to analyze whether it is worth the risk or not. But, if it is, an unlocked is far more flexible and has a lot more freedom. In layman’s terms, there is almost nothing you can’t do with a jailbroken Apple product.
Flow Of Information
If you own an iPhone, there is a good chance you have an iPad and/or a Mac. After all, Apple users are very loyal when it comes to their brand. The reason is that they tend to get rewarded for their loyalty. Anyone with a selection of Android devices, for instance, would simply have individual devices. However, that isn’t the case with Apple products because you can sync them all together. All you have to do is follow the setup instructions and you are ready to access a steady flow of data. Regarding accessibility, this feature is one of the best things about being an Apple customer. There are those who think it is a bad thing, especially from a security and privacy standpoint. However, it is worth noting that iPhones are among the most secure handsets on the market. As of yet, a small amount of viruses, if any at all, exists. Compare that number to Android software and the chasm is huge, so security isn’t too big of an issue.
But, to parents, this is a lifesaver. Kids grow up with technology and understand how to use phones. As a result, they can access a variety of apps and websites that may not be suitable for their eyes and ears. Thankfully, you can watch what they are doing and stop them from entering any untoward sites. Also, security controls allow you to block anything that you think could be a problem. Regarding security, Apple is pretty tight and has their products on lock down.
As you can see, the benefits of an iPhone way outscore those of any other phone on the market. Sure, Android has a lot to offer, but it doesn’t yet have the nuances which make Apple the market leader. Until that changes, an iPhone is and should be the way forward.
