Taking place this year from June 13-15 is the E3 three-day gaming world marathon in Los Angeles. It’s where the massive giants of the gaming industry will announce all the projects they’ve been working on behind closed door. The gaming industry has now surpassed the film industry in Hollywood as a most money-making industry.
Every technology company worth their weight in salt will want to book their spot in the multiple halls and arenas to lure consumers in and have a look, test and potentially buy their wares. Some of the biggest names in the industry will take their rightful and usual spots in the marathon timetable, this of course means, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Capcom, Namco Bandai and Epic Games will all be in attendance. However, there’s so much to watch out for, but here’s a rundown of the most anticipated events on the calendar.

As a kid, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was one of my favorite cartoons. Raphael was my favorite turtle (always the prankster), but my favorite character was April O'Neill, the reporter for Channel 6 News.
From taking my dad's camcorder into the front yard to do "live" news reports to my 6th grade communication arts class where we produced our own television shows, for as long as I can remember my goal in life was to work in news.
On October 25th some of the hottest startups gathered as a testimony to why Silicon Beach is one of the innovative startup ecosystems on the globe.
The conference boasted an impressive roster of women in tech including "The Valley Girl" Jesse Draper and Upfront Venture's Kerry Bennett.
It's a great start to see more inclusion, and we hope next year will feature even more diversity in both the panelists and keynotes.
Check out highlights below.

Move over Barbie and Bratz, there’s a new doll in town aiming to empower young girls to explore business leadership roles.
It's no secret there is still an imbalance when it comes to male vs. female CEOs and executives. And what better source to change these statistics than to reach out to young girls of the next generation?!
iBesties are a fun and modern alternative to the current dolls on the shelf and empower girls in the areas of business, technology and STEM learning.
The story of middle school techies are making terms like coding, design, and entrepreneur into the minds of young girls.
iBesties was created by child therapist Jenae Hetikamp and Gina Heitkamp, a tech-savvy MBA who has always lamented the gender disparity in technology and entrepreneurship careers.
From "Digital Diva" to "Gadget Girl" to "Business Boss" there is a doll suited for each different tech avenue. The project is currently being crowdfunded via Kickstarter and you still have time to support.

SURKUS-Get paid to party!
As you may have read, I'm relatively new to Los Angeles. I moved here a little over a year ago from Washington, DC.
To go out with out breaking the bank, check out Surkus. With headquarters right here in LA, Surkus specializes in "crowd-casting". Here 's how it works: Download the app, set your zipcode, and you'll begin receiving castings for invites to events in your neighborhood. Submit to the event and if you're cast, not only do you receive a free night out on the town (your drinks and sometimes food is included) you also get PAID! Surkus goers earn between $50-$150 per event!
Surkus cuts out the middle man, pushy club promoters.

GADGET FLOW-be in the know
SOUNDCLOUD-that's my jam!
I'm not ashamed to admit, when I like a song, I LOVE a song! I play it again and again and again on repeat, then I play it some more.
To switch things up a bit, lately i've been finding some of my favorites on SoundCloud and then I spend an hour listening to different renditions. Check it out and see for yourself.

For the uninitiated, [a]listdaily is an online publication that shoots out a daily newsletter focused entirely on video game and entertainment marketing news.
