At some point in life, you may find yourself with a bit of spare space around the home. Whether it quickly becomes a storage space, or a place that odd bits and bobs pile up, you might want to think about turning it into something useful.
Because when you love tech, you may as well dedicate a space for it. You might want to build yourself a first class techie office, or even save a space for your budding home business, either way; you can use tech to do it.
So if you’re ready to turn a tired old space into a techie paradise, here’s how to get started.
Nowadays this should go without saying, but it's worth mentioning.....INVEST IN YOUR INTERNET.
One of the first things that you need to do is ensure that you’re set up with wireless internet. Now, it’s likely that you already have this at home, being the tech head that you are. However, you may want to make sure that the internet access that you have is fast enough, like i3Broadband, so that your new techie space needs are catered for. Then, you’re also going to want to get your computer together so that you can give it a prime position in the new space.
Then comes communications. This is going to be essential if you’re hoping of launching your own side hustle. A huge part of the tech you will need to run a business is to do with communication. So work out what phone lines you may need, if any, or whether you’re going to keep all of your comms to the computer. However, if you’re not planning on creating a business related space, you may not want to worry about this part.
You might also want to decide whether you’re going to bring any cutting edge tech into the room. This could be a decision you make based on whether you have business needs or personal ones. However, one piece of tech you could consider is an interactive screen. Whether this is to use on your desktop or to put up on a wall, you may find that your inner tech geek can’t go without one once you’ve done a bit of research into your options.
Make Time For Play
Next, it’s time to talk playtime. If your space is going to have a central tech focus, it should also cover off the gadget you love in life, as well as for business. Whether you want to add your favorite gaming machines, camera, or even create a home cinema, now’s the time to put your plans together. Because this space could be more than just a techie work den, it could be a playpen too.
