![]() It is easy to think that a website or a piece of software is the most important tool in business but that would be wrong. Every tech savvy company on the planet needs to know it – humans are still top of the food chain. Sure, technology might have a lot of advantages, and it might be competing with men and women for the top job, but it is still behind. The reason(s) is that human employees have advantages that technology just can’t keep up with. Anyone that doesn’t believe that needs to take a look at the following. This revelation just might transform a business. They Are Reactionary The great thing about humans is that they have the ability to react to stimuli in the workplace. A software program, unless it is super intelligent, doesn’t have the same ability and that can be detrimental. If anything goes wrong a human can adapt and fix the problem before it escalates out of control. The business shouldn’t suffer too much as long as the problem is nipped in the bud. A tech program will just sit back and watch while everything goes down the toilet. Okay, it is possible to program them to help but you have to know the problems before they appear. It is much easier to put faith into an employee and watch them do their magic. They Are Productive ![]() There is a myth that technology is more productive than the average employee but that isn’t the case. Yes, tech software can get through a lot of work, but it only does it with one aspect of the job. Employees are different in the sense that they can multitask as they work. The result is a lot more work throughout all areas of the business and a better-rounded company. Anyone that says employees aren’t productive doesn’t know how to equip them properly. Used correctly they are the most effective tool in any business. They Have Expertise Technology doesn’t have expertise as such. It has the ability to finish tasks at lightening speed but that doesn’t mean it is an expert. It just means it is a very quick pack mule. Humans are different as they have the ability specialise in a certain subject. As such, there is a plethora of people in the industry that have the knowledge to help grow your business. From Nathan Gotch to Jim McCoy a business can employ outside help to better their success. To use tech to better success a company has to know how to use it in the first place, which is part of the problem. They Can Get Better Want to hear some great news? Employees are good but they can be even better with the right training. Any business that invests in its employees will see a rise in the quality of work and overall standard. The sky’s the limit when it comes to a worker, but that isn’t always the case with fancy technology.
No one would deny the importance of technology in modern business, but employees still have a place. And that place is at the top of the table.
