Normal Joe, or celebrity, everyone uses technology! But are we using it in every area of our lives that could benefit? Swaths of bright young things entering the working world at this time of year. But they need to make sure that their technology game is as on fleek as their eyebrows! There are plenty of apps that can assist those starting out with their career.  Read on to find out what they are.

Social Media

Firstly at the business end of the social media apps, we have Linked In. Many people see it as a way to keep in touch with work colleges on and acquaintances on the go, but it is much more useful than that!

You can keep an updated copy of your CV on your profile, as well as reviews from people that have worked with you. You can also highlight any specialist skills that you have and get people in your network to endorse you for these. Did you also know that you can see who has viewed your profile? This is great if the have a job on offer that you fancy, because you can see that they are interested already. Which gives you a sneaky advantage even when you are out of the office.

Of course, then you have the most fun side of social media apps like Facebook and Twitter. Depending on the job you do, you might want to add your career contacts and colleagues across these platforms as well. Just make sure that your profile is representative of your professional image and not just your personal life.

Cloud Storage

Everything is online these days. Your presentations, photos and your documents. So to make sure that you have easy access to it no matter what device you are on, or what location you are in use cloud storage. There are specific providers like Dropbox, which offer an app, by which you can access your documents.

Google and Apple also provide cloud storage with their devices and services, so it's up to you where you keep everything. It's especially helpful for keeping backup copies of vital work documents. Just incase you lose your pen drive or have technological malfunction come presentation time!

Entertainment

"All work and no play make Jack a dull boy!" So it's important that you give yourself regular breaks and time out of the office. What better way to do that than by catching up on your favourite TV shows or movies through things like the ShowBox App. A ten-minute break can only be enhanced by a quick clip of your favourite comedy or drama. Then you’ll be refreshed and ready to get back to the grindstone, just don't get doing it at your desk!

If you are anything like me, then a bit of music, while you work, does wonders for your motivation as well. With a range of music apps like Deezer and Spotify available you can take your music with you to the office. Of course, if you're working with others in office setting, it's best to take your headphones. Remember that they might not appreciate your 90’s grunge megamix as much as you do.

Organization

Firstly at the business end of the social media apps, we have Linked In. Many people see it as a way to keep in touch with work colleges on and acquaintances on the go, but it is much more useful than that!

The modern professional's problem is that there is too much to do and so little time. Wrangle all the tasks that you need to be done by tomorrows by using a simple organisation app. You only need a list of the things that you need to do and a way to tick them off when they are completed. So anything similar to Task and Wunderlist is perfect for the job.
