Are you the smartest gamer you could be? You might instinctively want to say yes if you’ve put endless hours into your favorite games and climbed online leaderboards. Still, being a smart gamer goes a little deeper than that. We’re talking about being smart in terms of the way you consume games and the way in which you look after yourself whilst you’re playing games. Your approach to games in themselves comes into this, of course, but you have to remember that there’s a world outside that screen whenever you play a video game, whatever the medium through which you’re playing one.
So, in answer to the title of this article, you might not be the smartest gamer you could be. You might have mastered the skills necessary to boss all your favorite games but you might not have quite mastered looking after your health, saving money, and perhaps even improving your performance by getting better gear and equipment. We’re going to talk about all of these things in this article, and you’ll hopefully be able to become an even better gamer afterwards (or, at the very least, a smarter gamer).

![]() Nearly everyone likes to have a space dedicated to their hobby. Someone really into movies is going to have their home cinema, someone really into books is going to have a reading cubby or maybe even a whole library in the office. If you really love gaming, then stop depriving yourself. You can create a den that not only enhances your gaming experience but will make you the envy of most gamers you know. But how do you make the best of it? ![]() For those who aren't involved in gaming in any real way, it can be hard to understand why there seems to be so much animosity between those who game on their TVs using consoles like the Playstation 4 or Xbox One and those who do it on their PCs. There seems to be an attitude from a lot of PC gamers that PC gaming is simply superior to console gaming in every way. But is that true? Well, yeah, pretty much. PCs have more power behind them as well as a whole host of extra features that consoles can't match up to. The main reason that consoles have always been more popular is that they are generally a little cheaper than a high-end gaming PC and that they have always been quicker to boot up and start playing right away. However, over the last few years, things have shifted a little bit. Thanks to the way that console gaming has shifted over time, you now have to deal with things like constant updates and install periods that make it just as, if not more, time-consuming than using a PC. So what are the benefits to PC gaming and why should you bother giving it a try? ![]() Taking place this year from June 13-15 is the E3 three-day gaming world marathon in Los Angeles. Some of the biggest names in the industry will take their rightful and usual spots in the marathon timetable, this of course means, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Capcom, Namco Bandai and Epic Games will all be in attendance.
