If you love tech as much as I do, then it’s fair to assume that you have a few friends who share your passion. These are the people who will watch launch seminars and unboxing videos with you for hours, and get into friendly little arguments about who’s got the best devices, accessories and so on.
If one of them has a birthday coming up, then you may be scrambling for gift ideas which aren’t going to cost you a small fortune!
Here are a few suggestions you might like.
First of all, the Nest Cam. This is a perfect one for the techie in your life who’s always off on business trips or spontaneous vacations. The nest cam is a Wi-Fi connected camera, which can be set up and monitored through a mobile device for when you’re away from home. It also has a built-in speaker and microphone.
This means that your friend will be able to talk to their spouse when they’re feeling lonely, or tell their kids when they’ve been playing videogames for too long. It isn’t really a pleasant thought, but the Nest Cam’s cloud-based recording means that they’ll also be able to video a burglary, and keep the evidence even if the camera is stolen.

Finally, Chromecast. If you weren’t already aware of this great little gadget from Google, then you might be tempted to spend the money on yourself rather than your buddy! This conveniently portable device can be easily connected to your TV, and stream content straight from your tablet or smartphone onto the big screen. Whether it’s Google Play, Netflix or Hulu, you can have it up on the big screen with a few easy taps. Chromecast enjoyed massive popularity when it was first released, so Google followed up with a similar device for audio. This will allow your friend to wirelessly stream all of their favorite playlists from their devices to the speakers in their home or hotel room.
There you have just a handful of great gifts for any tech lover. You may not be able to get that drone they’re talking about, but you can still put a big smile on their faces!
