There are many female ‘lady bosses’ out there that we can look up to today. Many of them inspiring for numerous reasons. Something they all have in common is that they never let their shortcomings hold them back! Here are our top 5 that you could benefit from looking up to
Rosa Parks
Rosa became an overnight figure for the civil rights movement in 1955. The 42 year old African American seamstress would not give up her seat for a white passenger on the bus, and the day she was arrested is still known as Rosa Parks Day today. Amelia Earhart Amelia Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1928. Although she disappeared and was never found when she flew over the central Pacific Ocean in 1937, she had previously said that women ‘must try as men try, and failures must be seen as a challenge to others’. Frida Kahlo Frida suffered many traumas, including a bus accident that left her crippled and unable to conceive. She then created paintings that represented her inner truth.
