Fact: The more data and analytics you can collect, the more you learn about your company.
As entrepreneurs, it’s so important we track and monitor the process for acquiring data and adapt to the results
Follow what works, and note what doesn’t.
When you monitor your analytics and data on a daily basis, you learn more about your customers, and it allows you to hone and streamline your business.
Here are some of the essential analytics and data you should collect each day!
First and foremost, keep a watchful your website traffic. One of the best tools for this is Google Analytics.
It gives you an immediate insight into who is visiting your website.
We suggest setting a series of metrics here to measure your progress. The most obvious measurement is unique visits and total page-views. As long as this number increases, you can assume that business is doing well. However, you can learn much more than this.
Pro-tip: use streaming data integration to get real-time analytics results. It will show you exactly how people are using your website every day.
Sales and Conversions
Huge traffic numbers are great, but seemingly useless unless they convert to a sale. Unless those numbers are buying your products or generating email signups, something's not quite right.
That’s why it’s vital that you measure your sales and conversions.
After all, they’re the beating heart of your company. You’re looking for sales and conversions that increase in proportion to your traffic. Ideally, you want to aim for a higher conversion rate. Ie, a higher percentage of people buying your products and signing up up to use your service.
You should also aim to increase your integration statistics. How many people are liking, sharing, and interacting with you on social media? It’s a good way to measure your brand awareness, and overall reach.
Ad-Click Through Rates
If you’re running online advertisements, you ought to constantly measure their effectiveness.
The best way to do that is with click through rates.
It’s the percentage of people that click on your advert having seen it. You’re looking for the highest click-through rate possible. You can always work to improve it by tweaking the copy, replacing images, and testing new offers. Keep testing and adapting until you find the highest converting option.
Once you find a solution that works, stick with it! But, never stop analyzing.
Successful businesses monitor and measure their progress every single day. Make sure you’re staying one step ahead of the game, and adapting all the time.
