Seo, or search engine optimisation can change the way people see your business. Just think, if people don’t know about your business or can’t see/find it then they aren’t going to request your services. You need to ensure your business uses all the technological advantages that SEO provides. It is especially important for a start up, but it can be a pertinent tool for companies that have been around for years and who need extra traffic and sales.
If you are yet to start an online business, you should investigate everything SEO has to offer. If you go live with all of your SEO ready, then you’ll have a far better launch. There are hundreds of SEO companies out there, but if you got the time you can do it yourself. This is brilliant for startups who have a dwindling cash supply and is best readied before the launch of your online business.
To make a start, you should draw up a plan. In this plan should be demographics, areas you can advertise in, what kind of angle are you going for, and once complete, you’ll know what to target. Blogs are a great start. Blogs are hugely popular these days and you can get a great amount of traffic through guest posting. Check out the blogs you think that people who could be interested in your product will frequent. Then, you need to write good quality articles with links built in back to your website. This can be time consuming, but you can hire a freelance writer to help you out. Once you have built these links, you’ll notice a steady stream of traffic starting to seep on through.
Once you’ve targeted the blogs, go for social media. Create a business page and post more relevant content that is pertinent to this day and age. You don’t want it to be spammy or similar to clickbait either because your company will look silly and it’ll hurt your reputation. In these posts you again need to link back to your website and advertise your product in a way that is not overly obvious. You can recycle this content between Facebook, Twitter, Etc. Remember to target your voice, speech and article content to those you want to sell your product to.
You should also create a video, a marketing video can be hard to get right, but you can really make an impact. It is easier too because people would rather watch something than read it. If you create a killer video then people will come streaming into your website. After creating it, you should consider paid advertisement. By paying a fee, you can place this video onto the newsfeeds of millions of people or target specific websites.
Remember, after you have completed everything, keep an eye on it all. Google Analytics allows you to see exactly who is coming into your website and where from. By doing this, you can see which of your SEO methods are working. If you notice a stream of paid advertising isn’t working then stop it and divert the cash elsewhere. You need to be reactive to the advertising to get the best return.
