Sasha Talks Tech
tech trends, and digital lifestyle hacks for millennials
You'll often hear it said that small businesses are the lifeblood of any economy. That's maybe an overly sentimental way of seeing them, granted. Bigger companies employ a lot of people at once and play a larger part in international trade. Without that, economies cannot flourish.
Small businesses are also of major importance. If for no other reason than they let entrepreneurs follow their own path.
Following your own path is important because it allows you to earn more and keep more of what you earn. But bear in mind that other businesses, and customers, won't make significant allowances for you. You may not have the same reach as the big boys - but you need to be as smart and efficient as possible.
Working from home or out of a small office gives you some flexibility. But you need the right tech to make it dynamic.
Every Cloud Has A Silver (Or Golden) Lining
Think of a huge company right now. It's a certainty that, when they are looking to close a deal, they bring potential partners to them. Why? Because they have all the facilities and hospitality space they need. There will be limitations on your space that mean that isn't possible. So you need to use cloud technology that allows the world to be your office. Scheduling, address books, and meeting plans should be kept in there.
Boost Your Signal, Boost Your Morale
You'll have seen more than enough guidance on not using your smartphone or your laptop in bed. Rightly so, as that's ruinous to sleep hygiene. But if you're based at home, you need a wi-fi signal that reaches whatever room you go to. For this, you may need a signal booster. The major upside of these is the way they demonstrate your total flexibility.
Say it's a really warm day, and you need to be in the fresh air. Set yourself up in the garden, find a way of dampening extraneous noise and make the most of your freedom. You'd be amazed how some businesses lose efficiency as the temperature shoots into the 90s. With said freedom and the right technology, you can react to any situation in the best way possible.
Every successful small business is so successful because of the resourcefulness of those who run it. Smart tech allows you to be as resourceful as a business a hundred times your size. Leverage that, and you can really start seeing profits.
