I've spent the past few weeks interviewing trendsetters who are living life their way, pursing passion and purpose over a "traditional" career.
I'll be rolling out that series soon along with a ton of fun giveaways.
Watch my Youtube videos below and check out 3 events I'm super excited about attending!
With hundreds of Youtubers from across the globe in Southern California for Vidcon last week, the

Move over Barbie and Bratz, there’s a new doll in town aiming to empower young girls to explore business leadership roles.
It's no secret there is still an imbalance when it comes to male vs. female CEOs and executives. And what better source to change these statistics than to reach out to young girls of the next generation?!
iBesties are a fun and modern alternative to the current dolls on the shelf and empower girls in the areas of business, technology and STEM learning.
The story of middle school techies are making terms like coding, design, and entrepreneur into the minds of young girls.
iBesties was created by child therapist Jenae Hetikamp and Gina Heitkamp, a tech-savvy MBA who has always lamented the gender disparity in technology and entrepreneurship careers.
From "Digital Diva" to "Gadget Girl" to "Business Boss" there is a doll suited for each different tech avenue. The project is currently being crowdfunded via Kickstarter and you still have time to support.

SURKUS-Get paid to party!
As you may have read, I'm relatively new to Los Angeles. I moved here a little over a year ago from Washington, DC.
To go out with out breaking the bank, check out Surkus. With headquarters right here in LA, Surkus specializes in "crowd-casting". Here 's how it works: Download the app, set your zipcode, and you'll begin receiving castings for invites to events in your neighborhood. Submit to the event and if you're cast, not only do you receive a free night out on the town (your drinks and sometimes food is included) you also get PAID! Surkus goers earn between $50-$150 per event!
Surkus cuts out the middle man, pushy club promoters.
HAPPIFY- a scientific path to happiness
There software developers may live in Latvia, but Happify --an app that uses science to increase your happinss --hits close to home.
We all know what it's like to feel stress it could work, family, money, or all of the above. But it's how we react to that stress that dictates our true happiness. Happify helps re-train your brain.
With fun games and thought provoking diary entries you slowly, over time, feel less stressed out when the curve balls of life come your way. Available online or for iOS.
GADGET FLOW-be in the know
SOUNDCLOUD-that's my jam!
I'm not ashamed to admit, when I like a song, I LOVE a song! I play it again and again and again on repeat, then I play it some more.
To switch things up a bit, lately i've been finding some of my favorites on SoundCloud and then I spend an hour listening to different renditions. Check it out and see for yourself.
On December 3, entertainment brands, social media influencers, and marketing professionals gathered at the W Hotel in Hollywood for [a]listdaily's summit on mobile marketing.
For the uninitiated, [a]listdaily is an online publication that shoots out a daily newsletter focused entirely on video game and entertainment marketing news.
Topics included transforming Hollywood and an inside look at how videos are consumed online.

Industry conferences, especially in the tech community, are an absolute must. Unfortunately, these essential events filled with workshops, industry influencers, and the all important networking events often come with a hefty price tag.
That wasn’t the case at the Disrupt LA Tech Summit which took place May 8-9 at Le Meridien Delfina in Santa Monica.
The two-day conference sponsored by Google and hosted by Silicon Beach Young Professionals was free and more than 1500 entrepreneurs, digital industry professionals, CEO’s and tech enthusiasts were in attendance.
Discussion and panel topics included mobile, social media, gaming, eCommerce, entertainment, and advertising.
Guest speakers included execs from companies included IBM, Sony, UX Talent, and USA Today.
This week I had the pleasure of attending Tech In Motion LA's most popular event: "Made in LA" Demos & Drinks featuring five LA-based tech companies and start-ups demoing their inspired tech-savvy products and apps.
With hundreds of LA tech scensters in attendance, the event was held at NextSpace LA a spacious Culver City co-working community.
In between sips of wine and noshing on a seemingly endless fruit and cheese tray, I was had the pleasure of chatting with several of the entrepreneurs demoing their products.
Read on to hear about my favorites including Airchat- a new approach to the company directory, Sound Off Experience- a silent disco remix (pictured left), and Nimble-an online platform that could simplify your life by streamlining your contacts.
