We are relatively well informed when it comes to tech in the home and for business. But how about in a completely unfamiliar environment? When it comes to traveling, you might think that you should leave all things technical at home. Afterall, who needs a laptop when they’re trekking rice paddies in Southeast Asia? Do you want to take your expensive cellular device into the sea with you on a snorkeling trip? Well, obviously not. But this general acceptance of leaving everything electronic at home is the result of a misconception regarding the use of technology on your travels. Here are some innovative products that can give your journeys an extra special touch.

I’ve accepted a position as an LA-based reporter for Next Media Animation's TomoNews, where we animate the news. Yes, you read that correctly (watch a short vid below)
I'll be covering trending stories and viral news buzzing online.
Each week I'll take photos and shoot video. I'll write reports, send the footage to the animation team in Taipei and voila! A TomoNews report is born!
I spent the month of June in Taipei, Taiwan where the parent company, Next Media Animation, is headquartered.

For the past few years, I've taken interest in emerging tech scenes across the US and the globe. I had so much fun with my cross-country road trip aka #SashasTechTrek where I got to check out the tech scene in places like Nashville and St Louis.
Now I want to spotlight the startups and trends that are unique to your town!
Do you know of a start-up that is a community innovator? Do you know of an entrepreneur who is a true "Go-Getter"?
Click here to send me tips about the tech scene in YOUR town.
Your story could appear on my new #SashaTalksTech tech scene spotlight to!
I enjoyed taking in the sights at the beautiful St Louis Riverfront.

Nashville is known as musical hub, but did you know it had a vibrant tech scene?
Walking around 10th Street I stumbled upon a hub of forward thinking and tech savvy business ventures.
For example, while having a hot drink on a cold day at Coffee Lunch (a local coffee shop which doubles as a work space for tech savvy entrepreneurs) I saw a flyer for Rush Bicycle messengers.
Whether you are in search of lunch or legal documents this company strives to get you what you need in a quick and efficient manner.
BTW–if you are on the go in Nashville and in need a quaint coffee shop to work Coffee Lunch is a great option.

Greetings from the Country Music capital of the world…NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
NashVegas is just ten hours west of Washington, DC and is the first stop on #SashasTechTrek, my cross-country journey from DC to LA.
I’m super excited to explore Nashville’s emerging tech scene, which was ranked by Forbes as one of the top ten in the nation.
In the mean time, check out some of the sights Music City is most known for.
I was so excited when my friend Makeda, creator of The Glamazon Diaries, invited me to a girls getaway weekend in Ohio.
The trip was part of the Buick Bucket List Challenge where bloggers from across the US (and Canada too) were whisked away for a luxurious weekend to test drive the 2014 Buick Regal.
