In business, if you look like you’re doing a good job you are halfway to doing a good job. This is because, a lot of the time, it’s all about perception. It’s all about selling yourself and your services to potential customers by not only doing a good job, but by looking good as you do it.
And to make your business look good in this sense, you need to ensure the building or room(s) in which it works from look good. In fact, they need to look better than good: they need to look official. And to make your office look official, make sure to read on to find some advice on how to do so.
Location, Location, Location
And, specifically, when it comes to the choosing of a location you need to choose one, if you can, that is naturally a part of the world of business. For instance, this could mean choosing an office in the Mayfair or Canary Wharf areas of London, or the Financial District of Lower Manhattan in New York City, specifically Wall Street. By doing this you wouldn’t even need to promote your business as being bona-fide or genuine, because where it lives and works out of will do the talking for you.
However, you don’t just have to move your business to such an area to give it that bona-fide business feel. No, you can achieve this by simply moving your business to an area that needs your business. For instance, if your business is one that deals in the distribution of fresh meat, then moving as close as you could to a farm would do help you and the local area in this way.
Site selection is huge when it comes to picking the right location for your business, so make sure you give it the precedence it needs.
It's a Vibe
For instance, if yours is a business that deals with a relatively young market, such as web design, you'd want the atmosphere to be up to date in terms of it being quite a laid back and quirky space. But if your business was a funeral directors, you'd want the space to be a quiet, solemn and respectful looking environment.
However, no matter what kind of market your business works in, and subsequently what kind of atmosphere you distill in your office, you need to keep your business’s space clean at all times. What’s more, you need to make use of professional office cleaning services to ensure that the cleaning that takes place in there is as good as can be. You have to do this to show your business to be one that pays attention to detail to any customers that visit your office. And you also have to do this to ensure that your office space is in fact safe enough to work in and is not a health hazard.
Your business’s office space really is important: it can be the make or break factor in your business getting custom, and it losing it.
When I was a kid everybody had a landline phone but these days it isn’t as common. Most people in their twenties don’t have one, yet everyone has a cell phone. I didn’t bother buying one when I moved into my own house because I hadn’t used one for years.
The older generation and businesses still use them, but it seems like they are a fading trend.
In 2004, a tiny 5 percent of people said they didn’t have a landline in the house at all. Just 3 years later, that figure had ridden to around 15 percent.
Who knows how rare they’ll be in a few years. The same thing happened to phone booths so it makes sense that landlines will become obsolete as well. But is it really a good idea to get rid of them completely?
