With Apple, Samsung and Nokia battling for global dominance, it's easy to think there are limited options in the smartphone department. However, there are a lot of other great smartphones out there, ones which you will probably have never heard of, but ones which have some really amazing and impressive features of their own. They are cheaper than the big brands and will surprise you with how powerfully they can run and the stunning designs.
Let's take a moment to check out some of the smartphones on the market you’ve probably never seen before.
Issa Asad Hollywood
Created by an American entrepreneur, Florida-based Issa Asad presents the Hollywood 499 smartphone. Its ultra-thin and its 5- inch display is all around impressive.
The phone has 8GB ROM, 854x480 Resolution and a Bluetooth-Dual SIM.
The design is very minimalist and sleek, and is a great alternative to the iPhone.
Check out more specs here.
This phone is built upon being as eco-friendly as possible, which is great or those who are conscious of the environment. The screen is 5 inches and fully HD, it has a Snapdragon 801 processor and 32GB internal memory.
Huawei Nova Plus
The Chinese company is one you may have heard of before, and it’s storming the market with the Nova Plus.
It has a 5.5 inch display, full HD, 32GB storage and Snapdragon 625 processor.
If you want a 12MP camera and a 5.5 inch screen to watch your favourite YouTube videos on, then this phone is a great option for you. The storage is limited to 32GB, however it does also contain 3-4GB RAM.
Xiaomi MI 5S
Another Chinese company, Oppo has released the R7 which comes with some really impressive features. You’ll get a 13MP camera, HD 5 inch screen, and 16GB of storage. But don’t worry, you can expand the storage with a microSD.
Now that you’ve seen what smartphones smaller companies have to offer, you might think twice about camping outside the Apple store from midnight onwards for your new iPhone.
