I'm super excited to partner with theWell Being Trust and Providence St. Joseph's Health to share stories from around the nation at the intersection of health and tech.
In addition to hosting a new digital web series coming in early 2019, I'll also serve as a contributor on the Well Being Trust is a national foundation dedicated to advancing a vision of a nation where everyone is well in mental, social and spiritual health.
Well Being Trust is working to transform health care so that it treats people from a more comprehensive and whole health perspective.
More than 1 million Americans died in the last 10 years from alcohol, drugs and suicide. If these trends continue, the death rate could grow to claim 1.6 million more lives by 2025. That is the equivalent to about nine full school buses going over a cliff every day.
Alcohol, drugs, and suicide touch all of us. as we enter this season of closeness, joy, and gratitude for Thanksgiving, remember that for some (including many of us) this can also be a time of loneliness, sadness, and loss. Far too often, this translates to reaching to our addictions or worse. So instead, let us reach out by turning to one another.
